1. Your Core Desire- know what you want with all your heart. Without a core desire you are sunk before you start. With a core desire it will be the force that you need to succeed,
2. Find a mentor- one who has been there and has done what you want to do successfully.

I know this seem pretty simple, but you can read all the self help books and how to books and you will learn every thing boils down to these two principles. Your desire must be so strong that nothing else can get in your way no matter how many brick walls you come up against. The mentor will help you get from point A to point B a lot quicker than doing it by yourself. Don't get me wrong here with enough desire you can do anything you set out to do! The mentor just cuts the learning curve down.
